In 1964, Steve started learning the family business from his late father Tony Zampini, founder of Metro Tile and Marble Limited. At first, the company consisted of a team of 15 tile layers and focused primarily on commercial and residential projects. It occupied a 1,000 square-foot storefront and a 5,000 square foot warehouse. Since joining forces with Steve’s father’s company in 1984, Carreaux Métro has undergone a number of major changes, including an expansion and relocation. Nowadays, the company’s 7,000 square-foot showroom and whopping 40,000-square-foot warehouse embody the company’s commitment to its clients: to maintain a large enough inventory to meet all of our clients’ needs.
